Goodtech originates from Norsk Elektrisk Kabelfabrikk, which started in 1913 as a low-voltage cable factory. Over the years, the company has changed into an engineer-oriented business focusing on industrial and environment projects and services.
In 1984, Goodtech was listed on the Oslo stock exchange and the business expanded internationally. In 1993, cable production was wound up and the business concept moved from cable production to environmental technology, with the name changing to Goodtech.
Expansion
During the period 1994-1997, Biovac AS is acquired. Goodtech establishes or takes over a total of 10 companies and makes a significant investment in the environmental technology market. The market develops in the direction of increased demand for turnkey contractors, which requires process expertise. In 2005, the Cronus Group, consisting of Cronus, Tiara and Hydro Packaging, among others, is acquired. Goodtech changes its business concept to include automation and material management, in addition to environmental technology. The company is now significantly more engineer-oriented and gains a good foothold in industrial and environmental projects, along with associated services. The group works in both Scandinavia and internationally.
The new Goodtech
In 2010, Goodtech merges with El & Industrimontage, becoming one of Scandinavia's leading suppliers of automation, plus electrical, industrial and environmental technology. The group is given the name Goodtech and a brand new visual identity.
